OARC Data CatalogSubmitted by bwatson on Thursday, March 9, 2006 - 22:02 OARC has been collecting various data from members, which are cataloged below. Data is available to members/researchers on the OARC data catalog server, the OARC member web portal, or in some cases both both of these systems. Members that require access to data must adhere to the following guidelines, as outlined in the OARC Membership and Data Access Agreement. Several OARC members submit near real-time DSC data to OARC, which is available to member's only. F-root provides a 7-day delayed feed here. 48-hour tcpdump (pcap) files OARC coordinates the collection of DNS statistics with members utilizing tcpdump. Participants capture inbound DNS requests (only) for 48 consecutive hours, then store and upload the data to OARC systems as pcap files. Click here to view the list of members currently participating and the classification of the data collected. The Domain Survey attempts to discover every host on the Internet by doing a complete search of the Domain Name System. It is sponsored by Internet Systems Consortium, Inc. with technical operations subcontracted to Network Wizards. Survey data is collected and published quarterly. If you are interested in an e-mail notification for new surveys, please click here. Additional data related to the survey may be purchased from ISC. For more information, please contact survey@isc.org. Full details about the domain survey may be found here. This data is available directly to members on the OARC data catalog server. Traffic statistics for C/E/F-root servers are available to members on the OARC member portal. The statistics are essentially MRTG graphs that include packets/bits per second (in and out), and current/maximum/average counters. 162 reads
